  • Early warning before scale can form
  • Sodium Zeolite System Regeneration Optimization or health review
    • long rinse downs
    • excess flow calcium breakthrough
    • early Zeolite exhaustion or contamination
    • stuck or leaking regeneration valves
    • bad regeneration procedures
    • channelling of the bed
  • Feedwater / Make up water calcium spikes
  • Cooling Water Scale Potential – to reduce heat exchanger efficiency
    • Scaling occurs at the hottest part of the cooling system, the heat exchanger surfaces
    • TDS and Conductivity do not see Calcium saturation point
  • Blending of Hard and Soft Waters
  • Calcium in leakage detection from heat exchanger
  • Boiler Drum water – detect foaming and surge potential
  • Steam Condensate Purity – steam system deposits avoided
    • Did carry over surge occur?
    • Did heat exchanger in leakage occur?
  • HVAC System water condition
  • Avoid high unscheduled outage costs
    • alternative energy source costs
    • under deposit corrosion costs
    • specialist costs for acid cleaning or expensive chalant cleaning
    • lost metal, so equipment life shortened or needs replacement
